GLP (Global Logistics Properties) is a leading global investment manager and business builder in logistics, data infrastructure, renewable energy, and related technologies. Headquartered in Singapore, GLP operates one of the world’s largest logistics real estate platforms, with a strong focus on high-quality warehousing, industrial parks, and cutting-edge supply chain solutions. In China, GLP operates over 400 logistics parks in China, covering more than 40 major cities, with a total warehouse area exceeding 49 million square meters, making it the largest provider of modern logistics infrastructure in China by market share.
Its main customer includes JD.com, Alibaba, DHL, adidas, L’oreal and etc., today we will introduce Apogee HVLS Fans used in two sites: adidas & L’oreal warehouse in GLP Park.

1. L'oreal Warehouse: 5,000 installed with 10 sets HVLS Fans

Pain points:
Under the high ceiling of the warehouse, hot air keeps rising and accumulating, forming a severe stratification with high temperatures at the top (up to 35℃+) and low temperatures at the bottom.

• High temperatures may cause lipsticks to soften and deform, lotions to separate oil and water, and essential oils and perfumes to evaporate more quickly;

• The cartons become soft due to moisture and the labels fall off.

• Moreover, a damp environment is a major enemy of cosmetic warehouses, especially during the rainy season or when cold chain products are being handed over upon entry.

Solution:

• Mold and moisture prevention: The 24ft HVLS Fans rotate at an extremely low speed, pushing a vast amount of air to form a "soft air column" that flows vertically downward. The hot air accumulated at the top is continuously pulled down and fully mixed with the cooler air at the bottom. Continuous and large-scale air flow is the key to moisture-proofing and mold-proofing.

• Inhibit condensate water: The stable airflow created by the HVLS fan can effectively break the saturation state of the air and prevent condensation water from forming on cold walls, floors or shelf surfaces. More importantly, it can accelerate the evaporation of moisture on the ground.

• SCC Central Control: wireless central control greatly helps fans management, no need walking to each fan for turning on/off/ adjusting, 10sets fan are all in one central control, it has greatly improved the working efficiency.

2, Adidas Warehouse - the largest warehouse base in East China,
Installed over 80 sets HVLS fans

Pain Points:
Warehouse pickers and porters frequently move between shelves. In summer, the high temperature combined with the dense shelves blocking ventilation can easily lead to heatstroke and reduced efficiency.

• Sportswear (especially cotton) and footwear inventory have strong hygroscopicity. During the rainy season or in high-humidity environments, it is easy to cause:

• The carton gets damp and deformed

• The product gets mold spots (such as white sports shoes turning yellow)

• The label falls off and information is lost

Solution:

• Wide-area coverage cooling: A single 24-foot fan covers an area of over 1,500 square meters. The low-speed airflow forms a "lake of airflow" that spreads vertically downward and then horizontally, penetrating the shelf aisles and evenly covering the operation area.

• Perceived temperature drop of 5-8 : Continuous gentle breeze accelerates sweat evaporation and reduces the heat stress response.

• Silent and interference-free: ≤38dB operating sound, avoiding noise interference with the communication of picking instructions.

HVLS (High Volume Low Speed) fans are exceptionally well-suited for warehouse environments due to their unique ability to address common challenges like high ceilings, temperature stratification, energy costs, and worker comfort.

• Superior Air Circulation & Comfort:
Gentle, Wide-Spread Breeze: Their large diameter (typically 7-24+ feet) moves massive volumes of air at low rotational speeds (RPM). This creates a gentle, consistent breeze that spreads horizontally over a very wide area (up to 20,000+ sq ft per fan), eliminating stagnant air pockets and hot spots.

• Significant Energy Savings:
Reduced HVAC Load: By making occupants feel cooler through wind chill, HVLS fans allow for raising the thermostat setting on air conditioning systems by several degrees while maintaining comfort. This directly reduces AC runtime and energy consumption (often by 20-40% or more).

• Improved Air Quality & Environmental Control:
Reduced Stagnation: Constant air movement prevents moisture, dust, fumes, odors, and airborne contaminants from settling or accumulating in stagnant zones.
Humidity Control: Improved air movement helps prevent condensation on surfaces and reduces the potential for mold and mildew growth in damp environments.
